A native of Austin, Texas. At home behind the lens.
Liam Harris started to find his way and his voice through photography and music. He explore the streets and city and tries to capture and explore what's overlooked. In the studio, Liam combines the real and sometimes the really weird, creating different takes on still life, conceptual videos and storytelling, and mixed media art. From the mundane to the absurd, Liam is most comfortable behind the camera and the computer, pushing boundaries and bringing wild ideas of sights and sounds to life.
He attends the Liberal Arts and Science Academy, a nationally ranked, selective magnet high school in Austin, Texas. Liam’s photography has received a national Silver Medal from the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards, and his photography, digital art, and writing have received regional Gold and Silver Key awards and honorable mentions, as well. He’s been honored with additional awards in regional, state, and international competitions, including the Texas Photographic Society’s International Student Photography Competition and the Texas Art Education Association’s Visual Arts Scholastic Event (TAEA VASE).
Liam has received scholarships and pursued pre-college seminar studies in digital photography, alternative methods, animation, and mixed media with Savannah College or Art and Design (SCAD - 2023, 2024), advanced projects, video and art installation at School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC - 2025), and photography, alternative methods and mixed media studies at ST.ART artist intensives at The University of Texas at Austin and St. Edward’s University (2022, 2023).
His work has most recently been shown in juried gallery exhibitions at the Rhode Island Center for Photography in Providence, Rhode Island, Bolm Arts in Austin, Texas, and Black Box Gallery in Portland, Oregon.
In addition to pursuing photography, art, and design, Liam also enjoys honing his skills on guitar and bass guitar and in music production. Beyond snapping, Liam enjoys making music, drawing, or catching gigs by his favorite bands.
